NEGS Armidale has once again proven itself a leader in the world of equestrian sports, claiming top honours at both the Showhorse Council Australasia Queensland and the North West Equestrian Expo.

At the Showhorse Council Australasia Queensland event, Lali Alt clinched two prestigious titles, reaffirming her status as a rising star in equestrian sports. Winning the Champion Rider title in the 12-15 years category showcased her exceptional skill and connection with her mount. Additionally, her victory in the Child's Hack division underscored her versatility and finesse as an equestrian athlete. Lali's success not only brings honour to herself but also shines a spotlight on Armidale. Her achievements highlight the region's thriving equestrian community, putting Armidale on the map as a hub for emerging talent in the sport.

On the other hand, 52 riders from NEGS Armidale competed at the North West Equestrian Expo on 30 May -3 June 2024 showing their dedication, resilience, sportsmanship, and a true sense of NEGS spirit.

Under the guidance of their dedicated coaches—Annyka Overton, Justine Aitken, Miriam Henry, and Maree Balmain, the NEGS Armidale riders displayed remarkable teamwork and sportsmanship. From Sienna Robinson to Abbie Kelly, each rider contributed to the team's success, securing major awards such as the Salmonidae One Day Event Trophy and the Clarke and Cunningham Cup for Dressage.

Individual riders like Makaidi Mair, Georgina Pillar, Abbie Kelly, and Jessica Taylor also excelled, collectively earning an impressive 122.75 points.

Led by Principal Ms. van Genderen, NEGS Armidale continues to inspire the next generation of equestrian champions, putting Armidale firmly on the map of equestrian excellence.
