Since 1895, NEGS has benefited from the generosity and support of its community, students, parents, staff, past families, and alumni. This philanthropic support has ensured that NEGS has continued to thrive.
Each year we ask all within our community to support Annual Giving, simply one gift, no matter the size, please take this step and ensure NEGS thrives in 2023.
Your gift, either towards the capital development of our learning and boarding facilities or through the support of scholarships and bursaries, will make a difference.
We have a clear vision of our future, and your gift will enable us to meet our student needs sooner.
Today, more than ever, we look to the future with optimism and hope.
'Over the course of seven years at NEGS, and since, I have never regretted that arbitrary decision by my parents, because friendships made then have withstood time and distance. Those anchored teen years - along with the normal laughter, tears, and Iced Vovos - gave me resilience, a willingness to adapt if not always compromise, and a belief in myself.'
Alumni, Class of 1975
'When faced with hardships, there is always someone to turn to, whether that be a friend, a classmate, a teacher or a coach. The community of NEGS welcomes and supports everyone with open arms, something that I am forever grateful for.'
Maddi, Year 12 Student
'It doesn't matter if it is in the classroom, on the sporting field, in a leadership team, or in equestrian endeavours, this school is about putting your all into everything you do.'

'And I can't forget the amazing memories and friends that I have made while boarding. It has truly become my home away from home, and the girls my family. The deep, lifelong connections I have made could not be replaced. The boarding mothers and staff are truly incredible at what they do - the level of care they have for every one of us stands out as they know us so personally.'
Olivia, Year 12 Student
'After this year, I hope to be studying medicine. The strong connections I have made through my time here are priceless, not only with my peers but also the UNE, students at other schools, and members of the Armidale and NEGS community.'

To ensure our facilities meet a modern-day boarding community's ongoing and changing needs, our priority is a refurbishment of the boarding facilities to provide a contemporary and modern environment. Boarding is central to the life of NEGS and is close to the hearts of Old Girls and current students alike. Refurbishing the boarding facilities is a major goal of NEGS Thriving so Boarders can continue to live, relax and build lifelong friendships.
Gifts to the Boarding House Refurbishment will be directed to the building fund and are tax deductible.
The gift of a NEGS education to students who otherwise might not experience it is made possible through our scholarships and bursaries. Your gift will ensure we continue to offer opportunities and hope to these students, whilst building diversity, academic, leadership, and sporting talent, and importantly, to continue accessibility for rural and regional families.
Gifts to the NEGS Education fund are tax deductible.
We are excited to grow the agricultural program. In the Junior school the creation of outdoor learning pods, will complement our expanded outdoor space and provide opportunities for students to engage in hands-on experiences fostering appreciation for nature, sustainability, and food production.
By nurturing adventure, creativity, and physicality, we empower students to thrive and develop a lifelong love for learning.
Gifts to the outdoor learning pods are not tax deductible.
NEGS has been able to procure a superb 6-horse truck to be used for both the Equestrian Centre and the Livestock Precinct.
This will make a huge difference to our ability to take more girls out to local events, shows, excursions, and clinics. This wonderful truck boasts 6 huge high horse bays, a large living/tack area at the front with a fridge, two bunk beds, and ample room for storage.
Due to the generous support of an old parent, we have managed to secure a three-year loan to finance this purchase. The fun part now is seeking sponsorships, running events, and fundraising to fully finalise the purchase and help with running costs and improvements. We will in time fully wrap the truck with NEGS and sponsor LOGOs and include 240v power. You may wish to consider a gift in support of the Livestock Truck.
Gifts to the livestock truck are not tax deductible.
