NEGS welcomes all Old Girls, Past Parents and Friends of NEGS to the Alumni News!

NEGS NEWS

2022 has been, and will continue to be, a good year for NEGS; life in a school is always busy, however, after the last couple of years where we have all been impacted by COVID - we really are enjoying the 'busyness'.

As a regional school, the first half of the year is always busy, with local and regional shows. Our equestrian and agriculture students have been involved in these shows and enjoyed great success. We are proud of their achievements, and more importantly the learning, commitment, resilience, and teamwork; they are developing skills for life.

It has been a joy to be able to 'welcome back' our community onto the school grounds. Earlier this year, in March, we enjoyed a superb weekend with the Autumn Fair and celebrated the 2020 and 2021 reunion groups. Conversations flowed over cocktails, memories were shared and stories told whilst touring the School campus and year group dinners were enjoyed. We also enjoyed the NEGS Long Lunch, held in Tenterfield, in April.

We look forward to celebrating with the 2022 Reunion groups over the weekend of 9-11 September.

Our students are busy in the classroom, and, as always, there is a strong focus on their learning and our teachers are committed to ensuring each and every student reach their potential.

Currently, our students are enjoying their mid-year break.

Next week we will send you, via email, a digital copy of the latest Akaroa, which contains highlights of Semester One, 2022.

We appreciate you might like a printed copy, and if so, please provide your details below and we will organise to mail a printed copy to you. (Please allow a couple of weeks, as printing will be based on demand)

We are excited to announce the Old Girls' Reunion Weekend!

Saturday, 10 September, and Sunday 11 September

We look forward to welcoming the 1962, 1971, 1972, 1982, 1992, 1997, 2002, 2012, 2011 and 2017 reunions back to NEGS, for what promises to be another exciting weekend.

The weekend will begin with a 'Twilight Gathering' at NEGS, on the Friday evening (for those in town). You will enjoy watching the Old Girls Vs Current Students Hockey and Netball matches. Refreshments will be available.

The NEGS Long Lunch will be held on Saturday, for all to enjoy. This is a great opportunity to catch up and be together. School Tours will also be offered.

Official invitations will be sent in the first week of July, but in the meantime, please feel free to register your interest below and we will ensure we keep you posted.
